How to Run 5k (3.1 Miles)

5 kilometers (about 3.1 miles) is the perfect distance for beginner runners. It’s long enough to feel like a challenge, but short enough that most new runners can work up to the distance within a few months. And, for those who like to compete, it’s also an incredibly popular length for amateur races
