The most helpful discussion group I've ever found is an online one--the reddit forum "stopdrinking." You can find it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/stopdrinking/.
I also had been in AA for a while. I know people have mixed experiences, but I found it very helpful. Ultimately, I stopped going more because of social anxiety issues than anything else.
As for strategies, there are really so many. "Playing the tape forward" is probably the single most helpful. Here are a couple things I've written about it:
