Thoughts on Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur begins this evening and lasts until sunset tomorrow. It’s the holiest day of the Jewish year, known as the “Day of Atonement.” We observe the day by fasting from food and water and by praying a lot. And yes, that’s a massive oversimplification, but I’m scrambling to finish writing this before sunset.
